Migration
Artist: M. Sommers
Year: 2004
Notes: Clocking in at 39 minutes for 22 tracks, this effort is comprised of various commercial soundtrack background music, ambient effects and some interesting guitar wanking. My computer was getting full of these little incidental pieces, and I made a promise to myself to clean house and move on to something more ambitious (hence the title). "Allotropy jig" contains a sample I recorded from a live Lord of the Yum Yum performance. "Fly away" contains vocals by my daughter, Josie, and her friends. The cover reminds me of notes on a scale.
