Notes: I have been recording music now since 2006 and with some self-teaching and some mentoring by Todd Cravens and Matt Sommers, I have learned a lot. Now I am beginning to realize how much more there is to learn. What a great time to be alive. I would have given my fretboard hand for equipment and technology like this back 'in the day'.

	Notes: Notes: Admittedly an enthusiastic Tolkien fan, this song began as a lament back in 2006 as my first attempt in digital recording. It's become a sort of test bed for new techniques and ideas since then. Last updated in December 2009 after spending some studio time with Matt Sommers and the Dark Matter Halos, incorporating what I learned. Now bloated into 17 different tracks, I think I can leave it alone. For a while at least. Maybe.

	Notes: Remember when we all discovered Bauhaus? I can’t remember who had the first cassette of Bela Lugosi's Dead I heard. I listened to Bauhaus a lot, listened to everything I could get my hands on. I always thought a theatrical band like that would do well here, but the punk scene here seemed to be changing in ’84. We did get together a band called Fade To Black with Kevin Rhodenbaugh, Dave Arnold and I doing this type of stuff, but we never quite worked it out, and didn't last long. Here is a track I resurrected from that time. Of course we never heard of such a thing as an Ebow back then. The song is basically the way we worked it out, but I left an intro out that I just couldn't make work. I made up new bass and drum lines, no way I can remember what you guys played on this short-term stuff. Please send any and all complaints to Daniel Ash care of www.danielash.org.
